Business-led technology consulting

Jason’s considerable experience in delivering complex IT solutions has driven his advocacy of business strategy.

He brings a range of strategic consulting approaches to the design world, drawn from his experience at PA Consulting, a global IT and management consultancy.

User-Centred Design

Jason is a keen advocate of User-centred design: planning and conducting complex research programmes in various challenging environments, from Accident and Emergency departments to trading floors.

He’s also set up a usability lab at the Science Museum to help create and evaluate innovative usability solutions.

Digital User Experience

From designing and coding hundreds of SME websites at to working with some of the biggest brands in the UK, Jason has been designing and consulting around digital User Experience for over 14 years.

His experience covers a wealth of digital product, service and platform projects — from digital strategy and social media right through to content management and intranet systems. 

Physical and service design

Inspired by his Industrial Design background, Jason has always thought beyond the screen.

With previous work that cuts across environment, brand, marketing, training, physical and digital design, his clients have included a major UK city, various NHS services and a UK electronics retailer.

Design management

Jason has a wealth of experience in building teams, cultures and organisational capabilities.

He has interviewed over 1,000 User Experience practitioners, established a graduate programme at LBi and has led his own teams in fast-paced agency environments.

Community leadership


Along with his role as local leader for the Interaction Design Association (IxDA), Jason has run workshops for teams at Orange, Betfair and Google around sketching interfaces and visualising data.

He has also talked at a range of local and international events on topics as diverse as interaction design in music technology, play in User Experience, and practitioners selling themselves with better portfolios.
